Little Esther :)

Hello! My name is Esther and my mommy feeds me well! This picture was taken at 3 weeks. Look at that budda belly!
Also taken at 3 weeks. She's sticking her tounge out. I think she was hungry when we took this picture. :)

Here I put Esther on our lazy boy recliner than packed pillows around her so she could sit up. Then I took this picture. This was around 1 month or so when she just began to smile.

Esther is 2 months here and we just think she looks so cute standing up with her big eyes and cute little round belly. :)

Here we are just hanging out, mother and daughter. We took this right before Micah and I went out on a date for the first time since she was born. We went out for Mother's Day. That was what I wanted as my mother's day gift, a date with Micah!

I took this picture when I found Esther in the kitchen with the blanket wrapped around her head just perfect like a bonnet. I had left the kitchen for a moment and when I came back this is how I found her. I'm not sure how she did it but she's so cute and it really made me laugh!

Here is Esther, at 3 months, in a homemade sling that a friend of our's made for me. I recently purchased a different sling but this one worked fine while I had it.

Us again with Esther in the sling. :)

Esther just hanging out on the ground.
Look at those cute baby overalls!

This picture and the next are the most recent, taken about a week and a half ago. In 10 days Esther will be 4 months old. In the picture above we were eating dinner and Esther was holding Micah's finger(with that tight baby grasp) and I thought it looked real cute.

In this picture Esther is sitting on our kitchen table. We found that she would often fuss during dinner when she was sitting on the ground. So we put her on the table where she could be at our level and that did that trick. She's much happier being up at our level. :)

Growing from 2 to 3!

Here is me in our labor and delivery room after I got an epidural (notice I am smiling, I wasn't smiling before I got an epidural)

She finally arrived! After 17 hours of labor and 1 hour of pushing (which seemed like 15 mins) our sweet Esther was born. She weighed 6 lbs. 8 oz and was 20.5 inches long. Today (2 and a half weeks later) she weighs 7 lbs. 7 oz and is 21 inches long.
Me and little Esther enjoying our first moments together. :)
Well as most of you know Esther had jaundice pretty bad and we had to stay in the hospital an extra day so she could be put under the bili lamp which helps babies to get rid of their jaundice. This is her under the bili lamp getting her first sun tan. :) They attached little pieces of velcro in the shape of hearts to the sides of her head and then from that they put a soft covering over her eyes to protect them from the UV lights. The covering over her eyes made her have kind of a yellow racoon look to her face around her eyes after she was done being under the bili lamp. :)

Sweet little Esther taking a nap.
Here Esther is getting a mid morning snack, yummy colostrum! Isn't she so cute! Of course we think so. :)

Bringing Alabama to you!

Well we thought since most of you will probably never have the chance to come see us here in Alabama that we would bring a little bit of it to you. These first two pictures reflect what people in the south like to do in their spare time and they also show the river behind Micah's parents house.

This is one of Micah's guns and it is fun to shoot because it does not have a kick really at all. I shot a shot gun of Micah's once and my arm (around my shoulder) hurt and felt kind of numb for the rest of the day! Needless to say I don't shoot that gun anymore.
This is my sweet southern boy doing what he loves to do (shooting guns) and being where he loves to be (the river behind his childhood home.)

The rest of the pictures are of our apartment where we live

Here is what the outside of our apartment building looks like. We live upstairs on the left in the back so our windows do not face all the cars. Thank goodness. Out of the 8 apartments in our building only one family does not have children, and that is not us! Lots of little ones....... :)

This is a picture of our back balcony and the trees behind our apartment. We love it because the trees bring lots of birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and even one really cool looking hawk. He's kind of mysterious though, he only has appeared a few times.

Here is our living room and Micah, who is practicing the cello. For teaching himself how to play he is doing really good!

and here is our kitchen.

This is the bedding set that our family here gave us and I just think it is really cute! :)

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Happy Valentine's Day! For Valentine's Day this year we had the chance to buy each other gifts. So after an adventure a few weeks ago at the Home Depot store we decided the Mobley family was in need of some cool tools! And this is the result. The beautiful red leatherman was for Trelaina and the 60 piece socket set was for Micah. He's been wanting some of his own tools for a long time. And boy was he excited to get his socket set this morning! :)

Now and Then

Here is me today, 13 Feb., a little less than 4 weeks till our due date of March 11. It kind of looks like I just stuck a basketball underneath my shirt. :)
This is a picture of me on Christmas Day which made us about 6 and a half months along.
